Paybis hosted The Garden Room at Gardens by the Bay on the second and final day of TOKEN2049 Singapore. The evening brought together 200 founders, investors and senior executives from traditional finance, crypto, payments and fintech companies.
The event was held at Marguerite, the one-Michelin-star restaurant inside the Flower Dome, described as the world’s largest glass greenhouse. The venue was taken over exclusively for the evening, with music, drinks and Michelin-quality canapés. Demand to attend was high, and the room filled to capacity as guests continued to arrive. Attendees gave positive feedback on the surrounding greenery and the relaxed setting for conversations away from the main TOKEN2049 conference floor.
Representatives from ChangeNOW, Paybis and INPUT delivered brief introductory speeches before guests turned to networking. With no panel discussions or formal conference programme, executives from traditional finance and crypto companies discussed where the industry is heading and explored potential business opportunities. Several introductions have since led to follow-up discussions, with participants arranging calls and looking at possible partnerships after TOKEN2049.
“Having the room full was encouraging, but the conversations were what made the evening worthwhile,” said Paul Afshar, CMO at Paybis. “I was particularly interested in seeing executives from traditional finance and the crypto industry exchange ideas about where the sector is heading. We came away with several conversations worth pursuing, and I’m looking forward to seeing where they lead.”
The discussions come as Paybis continues to develop its crypto and traditional payment services. In May 2026, the company received two licences in Latvia. The MiCA licence covers regulated crypto-asset services, while the payment-institution licence covers fiat payments, including the movement of customer funds.
Paybis also upgraded its On/Off Ramp this year so the buying process is faster. The one-click flow now loads seven times faster than it did a year ago, with total page load time down by 86%. The company says the On/Off Ramp is now one of the fastest crypto on-ramps available to wallets, exchanges and other platforms. The upgrade is already live for all Paybis partners and works across every payment method in the one-click flow. Partners do not need to make any changes or configure the update themselves.
Paybis also supports alternative payment methods including Pix, Skrill and PayPal across different markets. Among payments made with EU-issued cards, 82% have been approved so far in 2026.
“An 86% improvement in page load speed directly supports better user conversion and is one of the reasons we see more and more companies choosing Paybis,” Afshar said. “Our focus is making crypto access dependable, compliant and straightforward for fintech platforms to integrate.”
Established in 2014, Paybis combines a crypto exchange and wallet for buying, selling, swapping and holding over 90 cryptocurrencies with crypto-fiat infrastructure that lets businesses transfer capital globally. In 2026 it was recognized as Best Crypto Payment Provider. The company says about 200 professionals drive its operations, it processes more than $6 billion annually, it maintains one of the highest Trustpilot ratings for crypto companies, and 7 million users and hundreds of fast-growing enterprises rely on its services.
